FOLKS' new Facility is a one story building of seven rooms with handicap accessibility. The building sits on about 2.8 acres located directly across from Pop's Country Store on SC 188. The small rear deck faces our many widely spaced mature trees.

Anticipated uses of the Facility building include spaces for: expanding the early warning tile project along with volunteer monitoring of other potential biological and chemical changes in Lake Keowee's watershed. There is also a fine library of books and materials related to water monitoring and management.

The Walker Miller Conference Room has space for FOLKS Board meeting, committee meetings, small educational forums and will house materials for visitors. Space has been designated for a main business/reception office, presidents' office, library and project actvities.

Due to the monetary support of many donors, the FOLKS' Facility is mortgage free.
