FOLKS participated in Keep Oconee Beautiful Assn's (KOBA) Earth Day celebrations and demonstrations at the Seneca Library.

We demonstrated the Enviroscape, a model of a watershed, and the effects of
various polluting activities that people may not be aware of such as over
fertilization, dumping in storm drains & agricultural runoff. We also provided literature on septic system maintenance which is one of our a big 'seller'. Kids like The Fish Story - a fish's perspective of the lake.

We also talked to people about our efforts to identify sources & clean up of pollution in
the Cane Creek watershed, the Walhalla's sewer system repair, and
the storm drain painting by the Boy Scouts of Troop 45.
